Hi to all. just found the site as very new to Trials, based in Warwickshire. Have ridden a road bike for ever and raced hydrocat powerboats ,accidently took up green laning a couple of years back, after a mate persuaded me to take a trail bike to the IOM instead of road bikes, had much more fun and after spending a week on the mountains were hooked, so have taken the plunge and bought a Beta Techno to learn on, need some practice before having a crack at first trial soon, at 45 must be bloody barking but seems a good way to get the fix. Just want to say that after dabbling with many motorsports the trials scene is very helpful and loads of people prepared to put themse…

Hi all, I dare say I was to report before diving straight into the melee. Anyway, name is Nubsey, and have just got a gas gas 125 txt 2000 for the grandson. Spares or repair. Well as we do not already own one it must be repair. Have had a few issues but we are getting there. Also the grandson is hopefully learning something about bikes etc. My trouble is that everything I done was years ago, so no spark was check the points or replace them. Not so anymore. So we are both learning. Still it's nice to see him walking about with a grin glued to his face like a Cheshire Cat. All the best to all Nubsey

I bought a 1993 Beta Synt 260 off my friend just before this winter. After a good cleaning. I was learning off Brian (district 6 A champ) and Gale "Turtle" Petro (District 6 B Champion) before his sudden departure a few weeks ago. Here is the video from the Trials ride I went on with Brian and Gale, a lot of it was capturing them play riding on the helmet cam. Conditions, wet slippery leaves, over mud, over frozen ground. http://newoodsriders.com/videos/dirtrider/1sttrials.wmv I have been trail riding dirt bikes since I was 13 (now 45) I was introduced to Single track a few years ago and became addicted to it. Some of our sections are slow boulder climbing fi…

I'm more of a pavement track guy and street rider, but I'm getting older and probably should find a slower means to get my kicks. The pavement is getting harder as I age, and I fall off occaisionally. I was just given a 1972 Montesa Cota 123...yeah I know parts are scarce and I'll have to re-wheel it, but I have nothing invested so far except for a parts manual. I've never ridden trials, and have very little dirt experience, but I'm looking forward to getting it going and having some fun with it. I'll head over to the Montesa forum and see if I can get some sage advice. Cheers, Nate

Hi there my name is Dale, and I own a Fantic 305, I am new to trials, though not to offroad sport, as have ridden a few enduro's, many moons ago. I hope to have a go at competing in the near future, after learning some feet up skills, I am in the process of creating a website "though just a beginner at web design", dedicated to Fantic Aircooled Mono's, mainly the 305-245-125.5's, having found minimal information, anywhere else on the web, I'm wanting to include maintenance tips tricks, that sort of thing, if anybody as any exploded diagrams in Pdf format, that would me most helpfull, thanks for reading !!!!!

I've joined a couple of days ago and only just realised this introductory bit was here. So. . . Hi. Im from Lancashire and grew up riding field bikes and then motocross. I then got into road bikes, and then supermoto. I currently own a Yamaha FZX750 and a CR500 supermoto which i have built myself and and can be seen at my myspace page here - http://www.myspace.com/aaaagh . Leave comments if you like. I have just bought a 97 Scorpa Easy 250. I always hankered after a modern mono trials bike since i owned an old ty175 years ago. It has been sat in a local bike shop for about 18 months My grandad passed away recently and left me just enough money, he told me to buy so…

Hi there, I'm posting from Gainesville Florida and am seeking information on a DMW I'm starting to restore. It is an Overlander from the mid sixties which was an export only dual sport model. I've got a copy of the original factory spec sheet( quite vague) but desperately need some reference photos. What I've got of the bike is is pretty good condition but I'm missing most of the street equipment. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Jerry

Saying hello from Oz. I have been a lurker to this site for some time, and decided I should join up as this is the biggest and best board know to trials. I havent been into trials for as long as many of you, but always had a bike since I was a kid in the late 70's. Trials suited me a fews years ago, as I had a casual go at it before in the early 80's. I was into enduro then, then dropped out of racing for a number of years due to injuries. I seen trials as a good competitive sport for fun and low injury and cost etc etc, with the usual family commitments etc. Had a couple of modern trials bikes, but due to work and family constraints I could only make a ride occasio…

Hi again, road my second trial at weekend, Bolton clubs NW center round, a little bit tougher than my first foray! I somehow managed to win my class first time out, back to the true me this time LAST. Now thats what I expected!!Even so had a great time managed lots of fives and threes, some twos and ones and even a few cleans; what an amazing little bike the 125 scorpa is. Thats it for a while now , somehow I have torn a muscle in my shoulder , the wife finds this most amusing. See you again soon, cant wait.
