Salam Alekum! New to trials and the forum, so would like to say howzitgaun! From Scotland but living in Abu Dhabi now. Almost mid 30's, engineer.... absolute trials novice! Bought a trials bike to improve my bike skills, especially enduro. Lover of all things two-stroke also. Was never allowed a bike when I was young, came into road riding as a 21yr old direct access rider, moved into off-roading in 2009. Now living in UAE, riding consists of trackdays and riding off-road. Moved up to a 300 EXC for the dunes, basic skills are ok but need to learn some proper skills to enjoy it get the best out of off-roading. Just bought my first bike..... 2007 Gas Gas 250 TXT Pro f…

Hi, Terry (Tael) here, been lurking for a while reading up various stuff in an attempt to know what to look for when buying an old twinshock to get back into trials after a 20+ year layoff (Did some in early teens on an old Cotton with a starmaker in that my father had) Just managed to get a cheap little thing finally ( a Cota which was my first choice of bike even before reading up) which I've detailed in the twinshock forum. Love the look of this place, I'm a member on quite a few forums regarding my other bikes but the quantity of useful information and helpful users on here is very impressive. Hope to be able to fit in here and pick a few brains along the way Te…

Hi Guys, Let me introduce myself Luka is the name and living in the south of the Netherlands very close to Germany and Belgium. I always liked trail and trailbikes but when I was 18 I chose for HORSEPOWER and SPEED and ended up with the fastest machines around. Now I am somewhat older I have had it more or less with 300+ KM/h and drive a very nice 2001 Honda VFR 800 Fi, which I bought new and is still in "New Condition". A while ago I bought a 2001 Montesa 315 R. Like said, I always like trail and also like to fiddle around at my bikes, but my VFR is just so perfect..not much to fiddle around except for cleaning. Fiddling around on the Monty is a bit of therapy.…

Hello all, My name is Nick, I live in Bulgaria and I've been riding on the road for 30+ years. I don't intend to compete but I'm looking for an older trials bike ( TY250, Beta TR34/35 or? ) and I would love to have advice from anyone who can steer me in the right direction. I started a post under the Yamaha section entitled TY250 lighting coil but perhaps I should have started here first as my questions are really broader than just that. I see that you are all friendly, helpful folk so if anyone can be bothered to cross ref my first post I would be very grateful. Thank you for your attention. Nick.

I'm lurking in here to learn a bit about trials. I'm doing a bit of research for picking up my first trials bike. Been riding off-road for many years and want to give trials a go. My intention is to get better obstacle skills for the bigger bikes, but who knows I could get hooked on this. Great site!

Hello everyone just introducing myself I rode clubman trials back in the late 70s on a Bultaco sherpa 250. And I route marked on the SSDT in 1982. Sadly lack of money, marriage, children etc (all the usual things!) put an end to it all but I have maintained an interest throughout the years. Anyways, I have just bought a Honda TL125s (1977-8) which conveniently came in numerous boxes carrier bags and in an interesting state of repair, which I intend to use all of my dubious mechanical skills to rebuild. (I was also a car mechanic during the late 70s-early 80s- But I worked on Fiats and Lancias so I don't know if that counts). I will no doubt be posting on the forums o…
