Hello all, we are a family with three kids living in the UAE. The kids share a Beta Rev 3 and I ride a GasGas TXT Pro 300, Model 2009. The GasGas is currently in bits and pieces since its engine was completely littered with mud and many other parts needed maintenance and a visual upgrade. Even though I am not an expert I work my way through the tutorials and videos I find online trying to rebuild the entire bike. The UAE is a perfect spot for trial riding. The mountains are up to 1800m high and as long as you are not on private property, you can ride wherever you want, camp overnight, and continue the other day. hi all i've been lurking around the forums for a few months now for the excellent tutorials and trials tips and thought i'd sign up. i found myself increasingly interested in trials as our mob love to ride tight technical sections on the dirt bikes and try to clear them. so bought a 2011 sherco 290 a few months ago and had about six rides on it now. it's all a very steep learning curve but found it's had a huge impact on the dirt riding already. this vid was my first ride on the sherco 290, and claire's fourth ride on her gas gas 125. definitely confirms our status at trials noobs.

good morning everyone, I am in mid Bedfordshire, which having looked around various forums does not appear to be a trials hot spot but never mind,having finally decided to finish my 65 tiger cub project which has been on and off for 30 years , passed over by many other bike and car restorations, can anyone give me some information regarding clearance of rear wheel and chain guard to swinging arm, I have a Sammy Miller widened swinging arm, and chain guard, rear sprocket spacer, and rear tyre is 4.00x18 , what I would like to know is what the actual distance you all have between chain guard and tyre, and between the tyre and frame on both sides, any information would be…

Hi there, I'm posting from Gainesville Florida and am seeking information on a DMW I'm starting to restore. It is an Overlander from the mid sixties which was an export only dual sport model. I've got a copy of the original factory spec sheet( quite vague) but desperately need some reference photos. What I've got of the bike is is pretty good condition but I'm missing most of the street equipment. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Jerry

Hi people my trial habit is casual weekend use which is being taken on by my youngest son so we take to the hills round our home in north west scotland , nothing to technical fairly straight forward hill riding , spliced with the maintenance makes for quality time spent with little legs . We ride beta 270 rev 3 and evo 80 , annoyingly his light weight often traverses bogs with ease my technique is more ploughing through it's all good fun .

Hi everyone just a line to introduce myself I am B route rider & fifty years young. I have been riding twinshock trials for a few years in the south west area. My weapons of choice are TY Yams, easy to look after & more than good enough for my very limited ability. Twinshock events are always good fun & you get to see all sorts of lovely bikes being used, what could be better. Also it's great to see & hear the pre 65 bikes, the people who ride the big stuff are heroes. All The Best

Hi all, I've wanted to get a trials bike for a few years and well, a great deal came around. I purchased a 2022 Beta Evo 300 2T with only 6 hours on it. I purchased it from a supercross kid who didn't like it, because he "likes going fast" and because he wrecked recently in a race and had to have shoulder surgery. As a novice I was looking for a 200cc or 250cc but used trials bikes are hard to come by around here and this was a stellar deal for a "new" bike. I'm looking forward to learning the basics and appreciate the expertise on this forum!

Hi I have been lurking here for a bit, I have owned a trails bike since my high school years , a 1975 TL 125 , I am also working on a TLR 200 and I will make a thread shortly on those two bikes. Hello I just bought a 250 Alpina (1974), no fenders, no electricity, few spokes broken but running engine. Of course, I will need some advices and feedbacks from this forum: First subject will be the seals for the crankshaft. Im just starting out. Ive never done trials before. I work a lot of weekends and am looking for somewhere to practice midweek. I have tried Cowm quarry but they only open weekends in the winter, so any venue ideas would be welcome. Thanks Steve

Hi guys Just about to buy my first trials bike at the grand old age of 31 and came across this site, Hopefully i'll be able to find out loads of info and maybe make the odd contribution (when I know what i'm on about lol) Im from wolverhampton west mids so if there are any guys around that know of some spots that would be decent for a beginer please let me know? I rode BMX to a decent level (a good few years ago) so hoping to pick this up without killing myself :-) I know this is different but some of the basics like balance etc should see me ok, but im a quick learner anyway!
