Introduce Yourself

Hi I have just joined and have just purchased a Triumph Tiger Cub with a 250cc Triumph Tigress / BSA Sunbeam engine installed. It's apparently been tuned and had also taken part in some trials in the past and was ridden by Pixie Briggs. So I can decide it's fate (restore as a trials machine or convert into a road cub) I would very much like to find out what it looked like at the time. I will upload some photos to the garage on how it looks today. This is my first trials machine. My other machines are road going Tiger Cubs and the BSA / Triumph Scooters - 175cc and 250cc.

Hi all: Just signed up on TrialsCentral! I picked up a 97 Montesa Cota 315r on craigslist the other day. It's in need of some love, but the price was right. Waiting on some dellorto parts to arrive to get the carb running properly, but in the meantime, I'll be practicing my balance on the front lawn. Something clicked for me yesterday and I'm now able to balance the bike for a few minutes with the bars going either direction. I'm really looking forward to enter a local event at the end of May. Looking forward to being on this forum and learning all I can. Thanks very much. D

Morning everyone, just bought a Fantic 247 to renovate and compete in North Lancs area trials. They're a lot more technical than my old Montesa, Bultaco's and Ossa's ever seemed to be. Already met Bill Pye who seems to know more than anyone else about these machines. Can anyone direct me to any legal practice areas in North Lancs please. Thanks.

Hi, My name is Glynne Mingaud and i have just moved back into the area.i have just bought a Montesa 315r to get me started again, i moved back to Helsby 2 months ago and have met up with some old mates and have been informed that Andy Gardner had a bad accident, cant believe it as we were good mates 25 years ago. can anyone tell me where he is or how can i contact him if you could help me i would appreciate it. many thanks

Sold the beta old zero, but couldn't go long without an old smoker to play about on, so iv gone and brought a gasgas txt 270, I'm joining back up to the earlshilton club soon so if anyone other novice riders out there looking for a rideing buddy drop me a message cheers.

Hello there freinds...new here...and looking forward to gabbing....I had to sell my montesa cota 315 2 years ago due to arthritis in both my knees....but know Ive had them replaced this feb adn am looking to get another bike....however Im 58.and cant justify a regular trials bike.anymore so Im looking for preferably a Scorpa t-ride with the wr250 motor or maybe a sherco 280 xride....hard to find I know but maybe one of you out here has an Idea.... I'll be looking forward to talking and Thanks for any help available.

Hey all. Got me a trials bike again after riding solely enduros for the last eight years. I started in trials in 2000, on an ol Montesa Cota 242 '84, and quickly got me a Gasgas GT 32 '91. (That was at the age of 30+ ) Rode it for a few years, then decided to go Big bike, so I got rid of the trials bike in favour of a Honda NX650 Domainator. That was the wrong bike for me. I rode it nice and shiny for a week, then wrestled it down a narrow trail, and fell over on some rocks and roots into a deep puddle of water, plastics were flying in all directions.. Went huntin for enduro bikes instead. Finally settled for a 4stroke Gasgas, and rode it hard over a few years, and last…

Been riding on roads for nearly 20 years. i've decided to get a trial bike , and try to enjoy the new way of riding. Picked up a 2003 200 Beta rev 3 I've only had it a day , and got a chance to play in an industrial estate nearby. i'm still new to 2 stroke and havent kicked a bike in years , so thats starting to come back to me. Hello all. Got my hands on a Aprilia TX311M from a work client who has no interest in it. It had been left out in the rain for at least a year and needs worked on - doesn't even roll at the moment, think it is stuck in gear?. Thought it would make a decent project for the weekends (and hey - free bike!!!). Been searching the google machine and am having trouble finding a workshop manual. So far only got a parts and frame list. Anyone got one or know where to find one? Thanks in advance. Adam picture of bike included.

Got the Trials bug at the tender age of 43 when a pal donated a Fantic 301. Building a Triumph 3ta special and recently aquired a Montesa 349 Cota in rather good nick for sensible money. Cheers Bill

Hello, I live in the NW corner of the NW State and it's a fairly lonley place to be a trials rider... It's a bit suprising really as the weather is terrible, wet and cold. It's perfect for trials riders! I am a new dirt rider but have done some dual sport riding. I'm old enough to not want to experience the thrill of a flying thru the woods with my bike no longer beneath me. I learned that should be a goal on my first choice for a dirt bike. Hi iv just joined this forum in the hope that you nice people on here will be able to help me with my new buy of a 1996 gas gas 250 iv bought to have some fun on and hopefully do some none competitive trials and ride on my farm. im 27 and me and my m8 got into bikes agout a year ago we always have landys but fancyed 2 wheels aswell so i bought a kmx 125 and he bought a fantic 201 haveing had the kmx a vcouple of years ther is only so much rideing round feilds flat out you can take before it gets boreing and as we had the fantic it got used more than the kmx as going over and up things was more interesting and we can make our own couses so the kmx was sold and a 96 gas…

Hi all My name's Paul and i've been rideing trials for three years. My son started riding as soon as he turned six, two years ago and is comeing on well. We just love trials and the time we have on our bikes.

Just introducing myself. Previously from Bristol, UK but now living in Taupo, NZ. Been here for 8 yrs now and ive played about with VMX but now getting back into trials. Since having 2 kids funds are small so instead of a brand new Cota 315 I had in 2003 im currently modifying a 200cc 4t yamaha farm bike. Im sure itll be a bit of fun when its done and maybe ill enjoy it so much I might buy a real bike.

Does anyone now where you can get engine parts /general parts,sprockets shoes etc for merlin/cagiva dg350.
