Hello, Im Nadine, Im not exactly new to the trials scene, iv been riding bike trials for the past 6 years. I did have a little gas gas 50 cc when i was younger but i got it just as foot and mouth came out so due to lack of use i sold it to buy a better push bike trials bike... I'm now nearly 18, and my dad got me a sherco 250 for both of us and for once he's a better rider than me hahaa!!. But im slightly new to larger scale motorcycle trials. So im near enough starting from scratch again which is different . Iv been brought up around trials since i was born so its some where in the blood stream. Just thought id introduce my self, as some people on here might know me…

Hi, I've been thinking about getting into trials for the last few months now. I currently ride a CR250 in MX which I love. Not been into it long and am still pretty slow lol but I really enjoy it. I've rode bikes on the road for the last 8 years although I'm selling my ZX7R at the minute hopefully to replace it with a trials bike. I'm only looking to spend around £1500 max tbh. My main hobby is MX but I'm I terested in trials so I can get more bike time for less money. All the MX tracks are shut with the rain we've been having and I'm getting fed up. Also I could practice at home or some land at work without it costing anything. I'm in the west midlands Wolverhampton …

Hello everyone. My name is Steve and I am trying to get back into trials. I have been on motorcycles for 40 year and trials bikes for a good share of that but in 2002 was involved in a serious streetbike accident that has left me paralized in my ankles and feet. I stopped riding trials at that time but returned to off-road riding via a KTM with a Revloc auto clutch and moving the rear brake to where the clutch lever had been. I recently aquired and rebuilt a 95 Gas Gas JT35 to try to see if this sport is possible for me. A front brake master cylinder was purchased via ebay and installed backwards on the clutch side of the handlebar with the control lever modified so t…

I'm going to try this format just to see what it is like. The flashing advert at the top is about to drive me away already! And those silly wiggly things! Yessiree, that ADD-like short attention span of chat forums may drive me nuts fershur, but what-the-heck, a little spot of modernity couldn't hurt, right? Clickable smiles? Emoticons? Sheesh! I'm trying to smoosh the little bastages on my screen already. From one who has been publishing trials tech and other stuff for only more than a decade, what's happening here? Now how do I make this thing work? -Chris Johnson

Hello from the blistering hot desert of Southern California! I just picked up my first trials bike. I wasn't entirely sure what I bought, but from my highly scientific research method of Looking at Pictures on the Internet, I have decided that I have a 1991 Fantic 309. I will soon be bombarding the Fantic thread with stupid noob questions such as "Why won't it start?" and "What gearbox oil is best?" For now, here are a couple photos of my fairly knackered little bike:

Been very active in bikes all my life mostly motocross, was away from it for about ten years, I did have a TY175 for awhile about 12 years ago and loved playing on it, always wanted to get a better newer trials bike and finally snagged an older 1996 beta Techno. Its winter here now and cold as hell but am getting very eager to get riding again. My 21 year old son, a Motocross guy never really understood my desire for trials until no. He had the opportunity to try out the Beta and I think maybe some day he will convert, I know he will, he seemed to love it . so this is my start in trials, and hopefully will keep it going and see what it brings me, maybe if all goes as pla…

Hi everyone, I had to wait a long time for my first Bultaco Sherpa T 350, but the wait is over. I found a 1975 M151 in really good condition and have been riding a bit everyday, My older muscles remind me of that daily! I wish I would have had done this 30 years ago! These bikes are great! I would like to see them manufactured all over again. The bike is sharp to look at and a blast to ride! I just wish there were more classic trails organizations out here in western Pennsylvania. Any tips on keeping this Bull running great would be greatly appreciated. A great day to All,

Hi, my name is Tod, and after 40 years of being without a trials bike, I'm now back in the fold. I've never been without at least 1 road bike and recently managed to blag a long term loan of a Montesa 349, of the type I used back in the day. Been fettling with it to get it running after being laid up for at least 2 years. And now it starts 1st kick and idles sweet. Just have to figure out the other big issue..... Poxy thing is stuttering in wide throttle openings. No power. I'll be scouring this site for solutions to this problem, and probably solutions to problems I don't know about yet.

Hello to you all thought before I started posting questions and eeking out years of knowledge I ought to bother to say hi. I'm no youngster (49) but fancy a bit of classic trials riding, I like playing in the garage and enjoy using my projects too. So far life has been on tarmac with old single matchless and 650 triumphs. My son is very much into the enduro scene and I admit that dabbling amonst the bushes and trees is my sort of thing albeit at a slower pace. I like many kids of the 70's scrambled around the local woods on old bantams and even honda 125's and found the challenge more satisfying than speed. Along came girls and jobs, and the bikes were parked and off r…

Hi, I'm Tommy from Yorkshire. I used to do a lot of greenlaneing, but had a major 'off' last year, breaking my back, sternum, clavical and a couple of ribs. This ended in a helicopter ride from the moors near Pateley Bridge to Harrogate Hospital. Want to get back to full fitness as I really miss the muddy stuff. So I've bought an old nail Montesa 315. Needs a bit of work doing to it, but hey that's half the fun. My logic being that this will help exercise the muscles I use offroad (Hate gyms). Also not a lot of speed involved when things go wrong, and knowing me they will! Also got a couple of road bikes, a Triumph Sprint ST and a CCM 644 Supermoto. Ride safe gu…

Hi, I'm Jason from Indiana, just becoming interested in trials motorcycles and the mad skills this kind of riding can develop. I'm looking to pick up a good used older trials bike when funds become more available and set up a course at my house when its to muddy to ride my enduro loop or when the enduro loop gets old. I used to ride with a guy that had a gas gas dealership and will lean that way on a purchase but right now I am clueless to brands, performance, and parts availability. I'm pretty sure my skill level initially doesn't warrrant the cost of the newest technology. Anyways, good riding to all, Jason Oh yeah here's some youtube of my enduro loop

Hi All, New to the site and new to Trials bikes. Absolutely NO experience in foot-ups but I've been off-road biking for more than 30 yrs. Age is catching up and even though I still love blasting through the bush with the youngsters I thought something more sedate (No, not a Harley) might be just as much fun. I live in Tanzania (14yrs now) down in the Southern Highlands, the terrain is very hilly, and even though we are only 8 degrees below the equator it gets pretty chilly here and wet! A mate riding around Dar-es-Salaam found this TY250Z being abused by some local Arab kids, made them an offer then passed it on to me. She runs, or ran, until yesterday when she…

Hi All. I've just done a deal on ebay for what I understood was a 1980 Yamaha DT125 Trials bike. After picking up the bike and a bit of investigation it turns out to be a DT175 engine in a hand made frame possibly WES Powys? There are some trick aluminium parts, air filter and exhaust expansion box and fuel tank. Marchoni forks Engine starts easily so I'm happy I've got a good deal. I'm trying to identify the frame builder. Anyone know anything about it? Any info would be useful. Thanks Peter

Hi all Just a quick intro and question. After a looong time away from off road bikes I have just purchased a gasgas 300 in a vain attempt to regain some mid 40's fitness !! looking forward to getting out and about. Quick question - the VIN no on my bike starts VTRTG - when i checked the bike out, all the sites I have found list GasGas trials bike frame numbers starting with VTRGG not VTRTG. Has anyone else got a TG VIN number - or knows what it means?? Many thanks Adam
