Introduce Yourself

Good morning Hopefully, I'll not be posting too many daft pleas for help and advice as a newbie! I've just embarked on my first project, a Bultaco Aplina 250. A lot of the hard work has been done by the avid bike fettling/restoring seller. With the engine rebuilt and sitting in a restored frame, I've got the task of fitting all the bits in boxes on the bike and getting it running. Best wishes to all. Jeremy

I love the trial as a "sold my soul to the devil" to compete in last year "The two days of Robregordo" in Spain, ahh! to the point! Hello , I'm Martin and three weeks into trials ! My sons are Tom and Harry - toms 11 and Harry's 9 Got Tom a beta rev 3 125 and Harry has a gas has 80 I had to join them so got a beta rev 3 250 three weeks ago I've just changed all air filters , gearbox oil (only took 550 cc in the beta ? Didn't seem much ??) New plugs and a good clean I've always been into road bikes so any tips on maintenance would be great ! Thanks and looking forward to the forum for advice !

Hi All Well as the title says I told my Grandson Stan who is 7 that he could have a trials bike to use at Llangollen practice area. So Sunday I kept my word and after failing to find a suitable petrol model bought a used 2011/2012 Oset 16.0 which I hope gets him in the swing and if so a petrol model will probably follow. Already had to put a potentiometer on it as that was already broken, Although it still seems very little refinement in the throttle response, maybe even bordering on excessively harsh. Hey Guys, Just figured I'd stop in here and say hello before diving off into the mechanical and technique topics. Some places get all fussy about that sort of thing. I am a long time mx rider who just stumbled upon a 2000 Gas Gas 280. I've always wanted to try one and this one fell in my lap. It needs some work. I'll be looking for parts soon. I'm going to try to fit a 2002 mid pipe on the exhaust. I found one cheap and the guy will take it back if I can't make it work. I'm in Alabama if there are any other trials guys around here. Hi All, New to trials. Just got myself a 05 Sherco 290. Only used in backgarden at the moment. I am a big lad (old man - 40yrs old now)6.0ft and 21Stone. Although I dont look that heavy. As they say muscle is heavier than fat But I am having a spot of trouble trying to get boots. My road boots fit perfect but I tried size 12 Wulf boots and they just will not go around my calf. I am a bit lost now as I cant do any events without boots and they probably will not accept road motorcycle boots. Does any one else suffer with the same issue. Hello all, my name's Sergio and I'm from the lake region, Northern Italy. Been reading the Trialscentral forum for quite some time now, lots and lots of interesting topics and answer. I started riding in 1988 and after a 20 years break, I started again 6 years ago, I just missed trials too much, it has always been on my mind for all those years where I was busy doing something else. Got a Vertigo Vertical 4 months ago and I compete in the lower class of the Trialario championship which is held in northern Italy. Cheers to all!

To date only ridden trials bikes a few times and I'm hooked. I'm looking for one to use more as a trail bike than competing, but who know what the future holds. Hopefully I'll be buying one before spring.

Hey All, Greetings to you of the forum from the great and piney state of Maine! I have had a couple of trials bikes over the years (Reflex, 4rt), but have yet to develop into a *real* trials rider. Hi I'm a neewbie to this forum. I have a Sherpa 158 that has seen very little use, it was in storage for many years. Still has original tyres but they're badly perished. This is the 2nd 158 I've owned my original bike was two engine numbers older than this one. I also have a Metralla MK2 that I purchased new in 1974. I intend doing some off road exploring when I get the Sherpa back on the road. I'm too old for a modern enduro bike and the Bully should suit my needs perfectly. I'm currently after a wiring diagram if anyone can help.

Hi Gents, New chum here. More or less new to trials. Was into MX back in the day, then VMX. Needing something a little more sedate lately but no less interesting. Have background in spanish bikes, but Feetupfun recently gave me a taste of a range of twinshock trials bikes incl TYs & KT. Loved every minute of it. Thanks Dave, yr a great ambassador for the sport!
