Hello Everyone, it must be 15 years since I last rode my Gollner Honda TLR250 mono but it still sits in my garage teasing me every time I go in and talk to my other love (no not the fridge full of beer!), a 1989 Audi quattro. Anyway, bike is part way through a rebuild and so is the rider and I hope to get back out into the streams and woods of rural Aberdeenshire in the not too distant future now I class for the over 40s group! As a quick introduction, I started trialling when I was 10 and worked up to expert by the late 80s' when I stopped. We used to hold Scottish Championship rounds on my parents farm near Inverurie with around 140 riders but when they retired from …

Hello all I've just acquired a complete and original Honda SL125 in fair condition apart from a non-original paint job. It's a first time starter and almost useable as is apart from needing a new rear tyre for an MOT. I've no serious intention of doing any offroading as those activities ended for me in 1962 when I was in the Royal Sigs.BAOR Trials Team using clapped out BSA M20's complete with girder forks and panniers so I intend to restore it to original condition using all existing parts where possible. Ive got a readable copy of the Haynes manual for CB125J's (probably with all known EOE's but what I am after is a copy of an original Honda SL125 parts list from 1…

Hi everyone, I am a lifelong biker but recent newcomer to trials riding. I haven't done a event yet but been out and watched the local club in action and found a nice crowd.Still practicing at home and starting to get to grips with the techniques especially balance .Hope I am not too late in life to start this hobby in my late 50s. I have been browsing the forum here at TC and found it very useful.Oh yes , I have a 2005 Sherco 250.

Hi my name is Charlie, I am from Bournemouth and 50 something Looking to buy a bike not sure wether to go b40 or bantam b14/4 i am a beginner rider and concerned that the b40 may be to heavy to learn and gain experience on i am looking to build up a road bike to trials spec as a project for the winter months i know people will say it’s a money pit, but I am not trying to win anything and am just doing it for fun and to keep me busy during the winter months, not to bothered about what it costs but obviously don’t want to waste money and it doesn’t need to be competitive i rebuilt a Gp2 beach buggy a couple of years ago and I have just finished …

Recently picked up a post deployment present for myself, 2009 Gas Gas 300 TXT as my first trials bike. Wife appreciates the slow riding for now working on skills in the yard compared to the zipping around on the KTM 200.😃

Hi, just aquired myself a Puch Dalesman of '69 vintage, complete and comes with the original green log book, bought from Terry Sylvesters of Holmefirth in March '69. I learned to ride up on the West Yorks moors in the early '70's, Garelli tiger cross, Honda TL's, C15's (nailed together with wood screws by a spotty teenager, y'know the kind of thing),,even had a Dalesman for while back then, so my new aquisition is a bit of a trip down memoury lane, really looking forward to restoring it with the help of your knowledgable membership (been reading a couple of your threads on Dalesmans, reccomended to me by a good friend on the Buell website),,,so, any tips or information on…

Bit of back ground first. Had trials bike 20 years ago, mainly trail riding in Yorkshire nothing serious. Been on sports bikes since, but with traffic, road conditions, etc, getting too dangerous. Now living in Norfolk, and found a great place for trials riding 8 miles away(Trials park Corton), so decided to get back into it. Now the problem. Which bike? Don't want to spend a fortune straight off so thinking £1500 or so for bike. For that money seem to be looking at about 2005 ish bike. As no trials shops in Norfolk, Suffolk area realise gonna have to travel, probably back to Yorkshire. Plenty of beta 250 rev 3's about. Various GG 250 txt pro's o…

Have been lurking on the site for a while and thought it was time to post. I ride a KT 250 Kawasaki in vintage trials and have done so since about 1998 off and on. I try to ride a lot of different events in different orgs. This year rode some MOTA events and the NATC round in Sept in Dickson,TN. I usually ride in OH at VMD but took a yr off so the AMA could get it's act together. I will be back there next year, plus plan to run some TI events in the midwest. I also ride dualsport on a Suz DRZ400 and some of you know me as buls4evr on advrider site. I live in New Mexico in the Jan-May months each year as I hate winter weather so will be leaving soon. This yr. my friend…

Howdy all I wanted to introduce myself before asking a bunch of questions that I likely been asked before. My name is Brian Jones and I hail from Seattle, WA USA. To date only ridden trials bikes a few times and I'm hooked. I'm looking for one to use more as a trail bike than competing, but who know what the future holds. Hopefully I'll be buying one before spring.

  20. Hi all. I live in wemyss bay near Greenock and was looking for information on any events on near by that I could come and watch as a spectator Any info is greatly appreciated. Loch lommond, Ayrshire Stirling etc
