im due to change my chain & sprokets for the first time on my sherco 290 (2004). What is the recommended tooth size front and back? When i bought the bike, the seller told me that a different size sproket was put on the back, but he couldn't remember what it was.

Comes as standard with 10/42 sprockets - i am running 10/38 as i found i was,nt using first [ too low ] so i geared it up. Have a look at whats on the bike now and if its suits you, stick with it
