April 16, 200719 yr Replaced the oil seal behind the srocket on TLR 250 but the new one is still weeping oil, so got another one and its still leaking! any suggestions? Is there some magical way of pushing it in.
April 17, 200719 yr Yes if you get a peice of tube slightly larger on the ID and just under on the OD push the seal on the g/box shaft and drive it in,this will keep the seal from distorting on assembly which will lessen the risk of it leaking.Hope this is of help to you!
April 17, 200719 yr Did you check that the bearing is not worn? If the seal was changed and the bearings were worn it would still leak.
April 17, 200719 yr mine used to do this , it had loads of washers packing it out , got a new sprocket now tho.(and a seal of course)
