power steering fluid

maxima 75 wt. wet clutch oil, extra light, works like a charm!..........................john

power steering fluid

Now that's a new one! :wall:

uhh !!!

i thought everyone used it !!!! :o

maybe you can make more sense of this than i can !!!!

Typical Properties

Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF

Viscosity, ASTM D 445

cSt @ 40

It basically means that at 100C the viscosity is 8wt !!!!!

Makes for a pretty quick clutch!

Spec is 10-40! different rating, but basically 40wt oil

Finding the "sweet spot" on slipping the clutch is important and this could make things a bit too grabby. But it is all personal taste as far as I can make it.

The 2T gear oils are rated differently, such as the Maxima MTL 75wt equiv.

Typically, a thicker oil will give you more progressive response from the clutch, but it also has a lot to do with what the rider wants, as a PRO wants things to happen "right NOW" and you may just pop yourself right on the old butt!

And that is all I have to say about that! :o

my bike and the nephews beta sold today , so cabby upgrade is definately going ahead .

maybe i shouldnt use the same oil in the 290 until i get used to it :o
