April 17, 200719 yr hi guys, just gone a big pi** baller off the bike on a long jump the rear of the right hand footrest parted company with the centre section and i now have a massive burn on the inside of my left leg from the back tyre and damn does it hurt. just wondering what type of footrests all you triallers are using as i am now going to get some new ones as i no longer trust the standard sherco ones . many Thanks big-ian.
April 17, 200719 yr there are many types, but it depends on what you want? rypusa.com has a lot of choices at fair prices, most of them are titanium and very strong! but there are different heights and widths to choose from, they even make some that roll front to back on a pivot, i don't see the point but i guess they are good?..........john
April 17, 200719 yr if you want the bike to break before the footpegs then it has to be titanium not the cheapest option but nigh on indistructable :-))
April 17, 200719 yr I've had good service from the Trialcast pegs. Mine were prototypes about 2 years ago. They've had a good hammering, and I'm just about thinking about a new pair. I dare say I'll go with Trialcast again, at half the price of titanium. Trialcast
April 18, 200719 yr I fitted my Scorpa with Raptor Titanium and they are the ultimate peg. They can also supply hangers - not cheap but you only get what you pay for. . . cheers jumbostu
