Keihin Carburettor Float Level

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I have a 1983 Honda TL125D

This uses a 22 mm Keihin carburettor which has two codes stamped on it.

These are PC04J and VB.

Can anyone tell me the correct float height?

It is 19 mm now, and the bike runs a little rich.

Increasing the height to 20 mm will bring the float level.

I will try this but does anyone know the height set by the factory?

Thanks,

Peter.

Hi Peter,

Your float level isn't going to make the bike run a little rich.

It only turns on or off the the needle to keep the bowl full without

having it too full.

What is the bike doing now? Fouling plugs?

pc04j is the right carb

manual > float level = 20mm
