October 31, 200718 yr Just wondering what foot position you people use while on a pedal bike? I have always rode on the balls of my feet but recently was told you should ride on the arch! Just look at the base of SPD pedals and that should answer your question. And you need leverage obviously so the ball of your foot is the optimum position, using the arch of your foot will not only be less efficient but I should imagine in the long run would cause a lot of discomfort and potential health issues!
November 1, 200718 yr Author MTB and Road biking I understand the foot position, I'm talking about biketrials. Just wondering if you biketrials riders on TC agree with the arch pedal position?
November 5, 200718 yr Author I'm trying to ride more on the shank, I'm beggining to feel more stable. Wow, biketrials is tuff!
November 5, 200718 yr Ball of the foot all the time, if you look at the pro's that's where the pedals are set up and where you get the best cadence dynamics on the road. Even on your bike trials jobs the ball has to be better in terms of leverage and stability
