Saw something similiar on Discovery channel (I think) group of explorers in the artic with big 4 wheel drive vehicle running about 4-8 pounds of pressure had a tire fall off the rim when they hit an out cropping of ice. They used ether (spelling?) and big ball of fire and tire was on rim. Looked cool but not real safe.

You may need it Zipper! I have seen that exact case when they came off and would not go back! All the straps and stuff would not work! Finally found a proper Yomee beader!

I do that quite reguarly with ether, always use a "fuse line" ,clip on air chuck ,remote air shut off/on

I've done this plenty of times on the trials bike. Not only does it bead the tyre quickly it usually inflates it to around 5 psi. Petrol from the tank works if you're out in the woods. All you need is a lighter.

Same here, I,m not saying it can't be done, I've "engineered" some pretty amazing stuff to keep from walking

Don't know how it is other places, but over here ,you have watch which which brands of ether you buy, some don't/won't atomize properly, (Darn methheads)

I have this thing at work to use on car and truck tires which is basically a portable air tank with a huge valve and nozzle!

You pressurize it up to about 60-80psi and then slam the valve open which immidiatly dumps all the air when aimed inside the rim.

Tire beads up and airline takes up from there. Works great and with no explosives! Makes a lot of noise still!

You dont need to fill the bloody thing just put a little in the tyre spin it round a couple of times to spread it out and allow it to vapourise a bit then light it and jump back. I'd have to say it does leave a little burning on the outside of the tyre but it soon stops. Good way of burning off the molding spikes. Sometimes i've had problems and needed to have another go but generally it works. Don't however try a new dunlop. The beads are just too close together to provide any seal on the wheel and all you get is a little fire in the rim.
