    Oh crap! Its going to be a hard landing! How do you do that? Obviously before the the computers would let you hit the "up" switch while still showing airspeed! I think it may be time to "punch out"! ;)

    I dont think so. Look at the photo again. You can see where the sky has been reworked to cover up where the plane used to be..... On the deck.

    It's not the only incident where the F-8 Crusader launched from a carrier with "wings up". The Procedure was to dump under wing stores and fuel and land ASAP.
