The Stratford-Upon-Avon Club are holding a round of the Midland Centre Group Trials Championship at Sambourne Farm near Studley on 3rd August.

Clerk of the Course and farm manager, Dave Heming has fourteen dual route sections planned following a giant four mile lap across the stubble fields around the farm.

As Group Trials are for club teams of six riders, the organisers wish to point out that the popular B route will be clubman friendly with no hopping or bouncing needed whilst the A route will be quite a tester!

Sambourne Farm will be signposted from the A435 at Coughton Court.

As this is a Centre Championship round, there will be no entries on the day. Regulations are available from the Secretary of the meeting Richard Gill tel 0121 2465823

We'll probably send the A route up that one this year, so you'll be ok ;)

That said, we've found a super undercut step for tha A's on that rock section right over the other side of the farm :o Plus we're going to stick the 'ditch-jump' in again

Todays Group trial was a great success. Over 50 riders enjoyed three laps of 14 sections around a five mile loop of the farm.

The A route seemed to be getting around ok, although one or two steps out of the stream caused a few problems. Steve Clarke suffered at section five when he fell back into the water and was completly submerged.

The short but heavy downfall of rain during the second lap ensured that riders on the easier B route lost all hopes of finishing with a clean sheet, however scores were still onthe low side.

Thanks to everyone who observed or gave up their day to support the event. It was really good to see Evesham's John Hopkins at section two after a long illness which has kept him away from trials.

A full report will follow.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the event run so well.
