September 16, 200817 yr I was at a trial on Sunday with some pretty big climbs. I found my TLR 200 ran out of steam sometimes and am looking for some more oohmph (before I take the more drastic step of going on a diet). I am thinking of going for a higher compression piston or if one exists a big bore kit. Has anyone tried a more agressive cam (duration overlap) from the XL or CB series? Another option would be a larger valve head from the same source if the breathing is restricted. I am not too worried about losing the mega smooth bottom end as I prefer to rev the bike rather than plonk it. Any ideas would be most welcome. Edited September 16, 200817 yr by mattylad
September 16, 200817 yr Hello Mattylad, In the long run you would probably find it better to sell your 200 and buy the 250 - think along the lines of Barack Obama's lipstick comment!
September 17, 200817 yr Hi Matty, Another possibility: I remember when the TLR200 was launched, you could buy an HRC (or was its RSC?) 225cc kit. No idea if it's still available. Cheers.
September 18, 200817 yr A 24 mm carb adds a good bit of top end to the Reflex. There are no negatives on low end response.
