Just had to call it a day because my 05 sy 2t is stuck in first. Everything was going well then all of a sudden i noticed there was only one gear, i had no big off or anything. The shift return spring seems fine so i am not sure. has anyone had this problem?

i think the engine is based on sr125.if so try taking the right hand cover of then clutch .you will see the selector drum and gear change arm,you should be able to work out what s wrong.i would say the bolt holding drum on is loose or fell of.

Just stripped it out and found the selector shaft end sitting in the bottom. looks easy to fit so i have ordered one from birketts.
