Can any one help when starting my 2004 sherco 250 from hot it sum times starts up and runs backwards what can i do or what is the problem :guinness:

    I had this problem with my 06 290. it turned out to be the stator coil that was faulty.

    Reports on this are very few, but the stator has been reported? Makse little sense to me but the electrics can do odd things!

    I would check the flywheel keyway first, your backing(stator) plate for security, then call Steve at UK Motoplat! :guinness:

    I had this same problem with an 04. Replaced the stator and it never happened again :guinness:
