February 18, 200917 yr The drain plugs are really soft metal. Mine rounded off the first time I drained when the bike was new. I gently drifted it loose and replaced with a cut down standard type bolt. No probs since.

February 19, 200917 yr Author The oil plug is out. After trying two different Vise-Grips, several Pliers, chisel/hammer and several more things I welded a nut to the oil plug. Pretty brutal approach. The trick to avoid heating the aluminum cases was to weld for only a second at a time and cool in between with water. There was almost no heat transfer to the cases so I don
