Hi

I wanted to change the oil on my new-to-me SY250. To my delight the head of the oil plug had been stripped

The drain plugs are really soft metal.

Mine rounded off the first time I drained when the bike was new.

I gently drifted it loose and replaced with a cut down standard type bolt.

No probs since.

Don't worry mate you're not the first to strip the nut - done it myself - the OEM part is a pile of c***p as Montman says.

hi, i think the drain plug of a honda c90 will fit, and being honda ( much better quality ), hope this helps

The oil plug is out. After trying two different Vise-Grips, several Pliers, chisel/hammer and several more things I welded a nut to the oil plug. Pretty brutal approach. The trick to avoid heating the aluminum cases was to weld for only a second at a time and cool in between with water. There was almost no heat transfer to the cases so I don
