March 5, 200917 yr I am running an rear sprocket on the Cub 64teeth (420) for trials Q. I want to use it in a few Veteran & Vintage runs, how many teeth should i drop to make it comfortable on the road Available sprockets 52, 56, 58, 60, 62, Vinnie
March 5, 200917 yr Hi Guy's Hi Vinnie, I would fit the 52 tooth, you dont want to be overreving that motor do you. Regard's Charlie.
March 5, 200917 yr don't worry running a cub on the road with trials gearing will soon have all your teeth falling out.. seriously tho, I would go for 52 on the rear, .. that would raise the gearing by about 20%, still lower than a road cub (especially if you have a small engine sprocket), but giving you a first gear close to where 2nd is now (assuming you have a std box)
