Dmw Bikes

Featured Replies

Hi, i have just bought a 1955 DMW trials/scrambler and have no information on the DMW marque. I have searched the internet but hardly found any information. I have also rang up norton villiers but they are of no help either. Does anyone have any information on these bikes or know where i can get it? Pictures would be great along with info on an owners club? Cheers, steve.

This is the only site i've found of any interest on the DMW..click here

I expect you've already seen it though.

I have a phone number of someone who used to work in the DMW factory back in the day building the bike's,he then went onto being one of DMW's factory rider's,riding Trial's and scramble's.

This man will be able to tell you everthing you need to know. When i get a spare hour or 2 during the week i will call him to see if it's ok for me to give he's number out to you..It's been about 4 year's since i spoke to him last so finger's crossed he's still at the same number.

Villiers65.

I've sent you a PM.

Hi, thanks a lot for the help..i'll ring him in the next couple of days and hopefully he can throw some light on it for me. Much appreciated!!

There is a chapter in the Don Morley book Classic British Two Stroke trials on DMW.

I own one of the much later 1976 fuel in frame bikes.

I used a 1970 DMW frame which was for a 32A Villiers engine for the creation of "OSSAMAHA" which is on TC Garage. Fuel in top tube, Hagon gas shocks (original) and square section swinging arm.

A mate of mine had a DMW back in 1954 - it was a villiers 197 model, but another

Oswestry Club lad, rode a DMW twin in a few events - I think the engine was "Anzani" or something.

Hi, I have a DMW mk 5 motorcross with Anzani engine.  Believe the mk 5 was quite rare, any information on the mk 5 would be greatly apreciated.
