April 10, 200917 yr Hello again Quick question my recently aquired ty 250 twinshock has a home made alloy air box with a rubber flap riveted in place of the mudguard extension, Im hopeing to go back to the standard fitting yamaha mudguard and extension but only ever having seen a ty 175 box does any body know if its the same or can be adapted or will I be wasting my time as the volume will be insuficient . Does anyone know a good source for the lower extension as all places ive tried it is no longer avaliable even after market products. Thanks for your time John.
April 10, 200917 yr You can get the lower mudguard from here TY Offroad As far as an airbox, it may be a bit more difficult to find a good used one. I don't know whether the 175 shares the same airbox but I wouldn't think so. Why not keep the alloy one? I made an alloy airbox for my Majesty and still use the fibreglass lower mudguard extension (original airbox was smasshed so no, don't have one for sale)
April 10, 200917 yr There are a couple of TY250 air boxes on Ebay U.S. right now. Don't know if the shipping would kill you or not.
