New Rider And Older Bikes!

Featured Replies

i have just started trials riding after a time doing enduro. instantly i find it to be more my thing! could not be any more fun and stress free. i ride a 1995 montesa 314 which is in good condition. some of the lads where i ride seem to think my bike is quite dated , would there be any advantage in me having a modern bike at this stage, or should i keep my bike for as long as it works well. john

A more modern bike would be easier to ride, and as such you should have even more fun. I am not familiar with a 314 but with it's age, the last 14 years of development a newer bike would of benifited from will give you a far sweeter handling bike, not to mention lighter and more responsive engine. Most reccomend newcomers to not go for a 280/300 engine but to try a 200/250 for ease of use. Hope this helps :D
