Just bought a Bsa b40 with the gb engine

Can anyone help with the correct gearing

Also not sure if the main jet is right carb is a Amal 626 running a 160 main

Recomended sparkplug?

I am sure there will bemore

thanks Charlie what rear sprocket does everyone run?

As for the carberation really looking for a sharp motor as i want to ride in modern trials aswell as pre 65

And was wondering if the 160 jet was in the ballpark

62t for 428 chain.

hey,

i also just bought a bsa, what's the best ignition system for these bikes? (its still running on points now)

Boyer is good, PVL is supposed to be better, but it depends who you buy it from as they differ.

Will have to do a plug test i advanced the timing that helped with the punch

What type of yokes is best ?

And how much am i likly to exchange for a billet set

Are they worth it?

Is the billet clutch that burtons sells(200 odd) worth the weight saving and does it let the engine rev quicker
