Sy250 Stops After A Few Hours

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

My we bro has a 2005 scorpa sy250, just had a rebuild (about 3 months ago) but if we decide to head away for the day after about 3-4 hours riding the bike dies out and will not start again. This happened once before, we changed the spark plug ( the old one was very black) and the bike they started but took a min for it to clear itself out. i wonder is this a problem with the carb and its settings, is the bike flooding after a long period of riding. Any help on this issue would be great.

thanks

dont want to seem stupid but two to three hours are you sure its not running out of fuel???? ;)

Its not running out of fuel!! that would be stupid of me if that were the case.

  • 3 weeks later...

Check that the Fuel cap breather and or tube isn't blocked if it is it causes a partial vacuum
