Hi,

Will kindly ask if any of you do know the mesaurements of threads at the back end of Amal MK1 body?

I do need to extend the rear end of the carb by ~3" (have seen such solutions somewhere, made of nylon..on a Bantam)

Do you think any tube ( for other assemby..?) with matching threads inside is available?

I might can use a std part, Polished Alloy Bellmouths, but dont know if its perfect to seal the air boot to a chone.

I think from memory it's 1 5/8" x 24tpi Whit form.

I needed to move the AMAL away from the cylinder on my Bantam (was vapor locking). I found that the intake manifold for a Norton twin (it's a seperate piece for each cylinder) fit perfect and extended it about 3".

just something that worked for me.

Alan is right though, you should look into tuning the inlet length between carb and cylinder. I seem to recall from dabbling with Bantams some years ago that they worked better with a longer manifold.
