January 30, 201016 yr the tail pipe on my villers engined bike is so close to the tyre as it passes inside the frame that it is wearing through. My question is does the tail pipe at the exit of the silencer serve an purpose? does its length effect performance? clearly if i mod it to fit easily inside the frame i will reduce its volume which i believe will restrict performance would shortening it so that only an inch extends from the silencer have any affect on performance?
