Oil Tank Drain

Featured Replies

Hello

I've still got me oil tank on my TY125. Will take the thing off when I change the cylinder later.

I'd like to drain the old oil out and refresh. The thing is can I just undo the diddy wire clip on the lowest black tube, pull off and let drain without getting an air block in me pipe.

Cheers

Squid.

I presume you still have the oil pump fitted? if so there is a bleed screw on the side of the pump (i think they were a philips screw with a fibre washer). undo this and let the old oil drain out. (you can flush the system with petrol as well if you want) then simply put fresh oil in the tank and wait for it to drain through with no air bubbles and replace the bleed screw.
