April 8, 201016 yr its got to be said that footpegs on a sherpa are not the best, especially compared to the ones on any mono can any one tell me are there moderen pegs that will go straight onto my 76 sherpa T model 159, or do i need to to get some one to weld new brackets on etc etc if there are not any you can get off the shelf i wonder if bultaco uk would think about developing some as this is a sensible upgrade which many people would benifit form?
April 8, 201016 yr You could buy aftermarket pegs, cut the pivot off them, cut the pivots off your Bultaco pegs and weld them onto the new pegs (as long as you haven't bought alloy of course) - then the new pegs will bolt onto the original brackets on your bike. Still involves welding but at least you don't have to modify the frame.
April 13, 201016 yr I have the same problem with mine, don;t really want to cut the orignal brackets off but want wider pegs,i found these on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT have a look and see if they could be adapted to fit.any advice would be appreciated.thanks.
April 13, 201016 yr I wanted a wider footrest on my Sherpa, so I fitted Pursang footrests from BultacoUK..... exactly the same design.... they just stick out further.
April 18, 201016 yr Hi, Trialsbits do some nice (inexpensive) wider pegs - universal - they come with the bracket, so you'd need to weld to frame but you get all the bits, so wouldn't be that big a job. http://www.trialsbits.co.uk/index.php?cPath=85_137 I got some for my Bantam and they seem great.
