would someone please tell me how to change the fork oil and how often it needs doing on my 06 250. I have read the waynes corner section but that is from an older bike and my fork are not the same. Also what oil should i use. Please help

Suffice it to say that if you have a good grasp on the older ones, the new ones('06-up) are similar yet different.

Left Leg= spring side! Drain completely and refill.

Right Leg= damper side. Remove lower bolt, drain leg, extract damper unit throu top and continue to pump it about 100(00) strokes till you get all the old oil out or your measures will be off!

Reassemble, pour oil in top whilst working the new oil in the same way before you cap it.

385ml left.

370ml right.

High quality 5W fork oil.

Getting old oil out the damper is the most critical part.

Frequency? Annually, depending upon how much you ride.

All serviced including right leg seal changed all running great.
