October 30, 201015 yr Can anyone help me? I cannot get a spark on my son's TY80, there is power getting to the coil because I can get a spark from the low tension wire onto the cylinder head but there is no spark at the plug despite fitting a brand new coil and checking that it is earthed properly. I don't have any means to check if there's enough power going into it so is it possible that a change of condenser and points will fix the problem? thanks in advance.
October 30, 201015 yr Hi I had an intermittant spark on a one I've just rebuilt and I fitted an ignition tune up kit from TY Trials (points, condensor etc etc) from TY Trials which fied the problem straight away. John, the guy at TY Trials is very very knowledgeable on TY's as well so would offer advice cheers John
