November 13, 201015 yr I am looking to buy a first trials bike and just wondered if a 125 would be too small for my 16st bulk? Been riding bikes for years but never trials before and it's about 12 years since I last rode off road, so not too sure if a recent-ish 125 would cut it. Your thoughts are welcome. Cheers.

A 125 will pull you, and they are quite gentile. They are a bit more difficult to ride larger stuff with, as you really gotta work them in the revs and clutch to make power. Require better skills, buta good learner or putt about if you like! A 250 has much more torque off the bottom, and seldome requires high revs. Edited November 14, 201015 yr by copemech
