November 26, 201015 yr hi all ive had problems fiting my headsteady i got a brand new one off dave at bultaco uk but when i tryed fiting it it was slightly to long had to make it fit by bending it as anybody come across this problem? the old one that came with the bike was allso bent ive tryed loosening the engine bolts but still didnt work dosant look like the frame is bent can anybody help
November 26, 201015 yr Chris put the head steady on the barrel studd ,then fit the nut and bolt loosely ,then prise the back bit to the frame mount ,and fit the bolt ,it can be a pain but shouldn't really be that far out..... keith
November 26, 201015 yr YOU CAN WELD A FLAT BIT ON THE TOP WHICH MAKES IT MUCH STRONGER. SOUNDS LIKE YOUR TOP TUBE HAS THE BULTO BANNANAITUS.
November 27, 201015 yr thats nigel ill plobely get it welded just want to get some weels must be sombody on hear with a pair of wheels for sale Am i drunk or something i'm really having problems understanding this.
