I have a 2004 Sherco 1.25. Can someone tell me which end of the clutch actuator rod goes to the clutch. The rod I have has two ends one end is machined down short and the other end is machined down long. In looking a the parts manual it shows the long end goes to the clutch side however the diagram does not suggest that there is a short end. I installed the rod as depicted in the manual and without running the bike yet (full motor rebuild) it seems to engage fine.

It only fits one way around so it sounds like you've got it right.
