150 kit for TL - liner thickness?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just wondering what thickness the liner spigot has on the 150 kit. If it fits without boring the cases then it must be thin as a 63mm bore with the TL's 49.5mm stroke gives about 154cc. I measured the casing bore on an XL to be 63.6mm.

Any ideas what the bore and the outside spigot size are on the kits? Do you have to bore the cases?

Thanks,

Craig

as long as its the 124 barrel, its bored out to suit.liner is very thin when bored.if its 122 barrel its too thin.

Thanks for that Max, I actually meant the 'Sammy Miller' 150 kit as opposed to boring your own

Yes, thanks Ross. I've bored out a set of XL casings to take a 185 barrel but run into troubles with the oil gallery, http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=945828

Not insurmountable, I'll take it down to Sammy that advertises in the SCRMC mag, he does ally welding day in day out.

Failing that I might put an external oil feed on it and blank off the gallery.

I was going to use epoxy steel but I'm not a great fan of it,

Craig
