July 15, 201115 yr what is the best legal pre65 carb that you can use on a cub? hope to get the bike ready for the pre65 next year but want to use the right carb.
July 16, 201115 yr you want the amal mk1 concentric for off the shelf stuff. the main issue will be getting the entry though about three years trying seems to be the going rate at the moment
July 16, 201115 yr Hi Stevie If you decide to go Amal Surrey Cycles can usually recommend jetting, cutaways etc. (Go for the brass slide) http://www.surreycycles.com/
July 16, 201115 yr i think there was a bit of 'upset' this year over the mk1 amals with a built in choke so keep it simple. surrey cycles will certainly set you on the path but a little tweaking may be req as all bikes are different esp cubs where a little cough or hesitation off closed throttle may need some work to clear or may not even be evident at all
