Good luck Thanks for the info, I have been back in the garage, clouted things a little harder and got them apart. I found two needle roller bearings and a stepped pivot shaft, which is well worn. The bearings are no problem, but the shaft is a job for someone with a little more precision than a MIG welder and angle grinder.
