September 17, 201114 yr hi guys ive desided to have my fork legs powder coated my question is when i get my forks back from the spray shop im puting new seals in. if i heat the leg up to get the seals in will it do any damage to the paint? supid question i know but i dont want to damage the paint work affter paying
September 17, 201114 yr Don't heat up the legs to put the seals in. I agree. There should be absolutley no need to heat the fork legs !

September 17, 201114 yr A little lube on the seal and a piece of PVC pipe the same size as the seal. Tap it in evenly with a hammer. You can also use the old seals to drive in the new. They're always exactly the same size
