September 24, 201114 yr I just recieved a majesty replica tank seat combo for my 74 TY.Was wondering about the best way to mount it.It just has the rubber stops to slide in the grooves in the frame and no other way visible to mount back at the seat.Do you put some kind of rubber on the top tube for the tunnel to seat to?Any suggestions would be apprecieated.Thanks
September 25, 201114 yr I have a Sammy Miller one like this; http://www.sammymillerproducts.co.uk/product706.html on the 250 that I use.It just has a single bolt fixing where the original rear tank mount went. It works very well,been using it since 2006,the single bolt hole hasnt worn and it makes it very easy to service. If yours is from a different supplier then you either need to go back to them and ask what they recommend or just drill a hole like the Miller ones have.
September 25, 201114 yr There should be are rubber support that goes around the top tube and under the standard TY tank
September 25, 201114 yr my 250 has the tank seat combo i put a number plate bolt behind the seat to hold it down.nice 250 majesty on ebay now.
