    Yes, sad news ..I can't help thinking it's an un-neccessary waste... there shouldn't be open wheel racers on oval tracks, it's way too risky.

    Dan is indeed a sad loss.

    I agree about the ovals but only these silly 1.5 mile things. 225 mph three a breast in open wheeled cars on track that size really is asking for trouble and putting $5M on a win is enough to make people take unusual risks. Unfortunately having recently watched Senna the movie it sometimes takes an event like this for overdue change to happen.
