January 19, 201214 yr I have a 2000. Main one for me is the gearbox oil becoming milky due to the waterpump seals becoming worn. It's nothing major and easy to do. I'd just check and change your oil often enough to keep an eye on it. Replace the seals when needed CP
January 20, 201214 yr '01 was a nice bike, yet the mudguards specific to that year were pre finisched and clearcoated and very expensive. Many just put the later years on them, 02-03 or later in silver rather than blue up to '05.
January 22, 201214 yr Would the water pump seals make water go a sort of light purple colour? No, I would think that due to the coolant(antifreeze)used. You doo need that you know!
