April 14, 200521 yr Electronic ignition for all Bultaco Sherpa trials bikes now available, see www.bultacouk.com Edited April 14, 200521 yr by Legs
April 14, 200521 yr A mate of mine has just fitted one to his 350, it works very well. I think he misses taking it apart every couple of weeks but you can't win them all. Plus the system is not electronic (no black box), it is completely inductive which is kind of neat.
May 8, 200521 yr sounds like a good idea does anyone know do they fit on without altering anything & how easy is it to time etc any difference to the bottom end power better or worse ? bike is a 350 199A
May 15, 200521 yr To fit the system my mate has (Renham), you have to remove both the ignition & lighting coil along with the points assem, then you bolt the the new assem in. Timing is by setting a mark on the new assem a set distance from a fixing screw. Sloted holes provide adjustment. The coil is replaced also. Bike runs much smoother is (a bit) more responsive and is less prone to tickover variation as it gets hot (he says). Hope this helps ...
