Sherpa Electronic Ignition

A mate of mine has just fitted one to his 350, it works very well. I think he misses taking it apart every couple of weeks but you can't win them all. Plus the system is not electronic (no black box), it is completely inductive which is kind of neat.

To fit the system my mate has (Renham), you have to remove both the ignition & lighting coil along with the points assem, then you bolt the the new assem in. Timing is by setting a mark on the new assem a set distance from a fixing screw. Sloted holes provide adjustment. The coil is replaced also.

Bike runs much smoother is (a bit) more responsive and is less prone to tickover variation as it gets hot (he says).

Hope this helps ...
