Hi there can anyone.....or big John.....tell me what length spokes I require front the front and rear wheels on my 1980 Sherpa, cheers

    Got to ask at the risk of stating the blindingly obvious cant you measure the ones in the wheels i assume you are rebuilding? If not Dave Renham does sets.

    Yeah I have but seen sets on a popular auction sight and there are loads of similar lengths, think I measured 175mm in the rear....was just after some confirmation

    Depends on the wheel and rim fitted some early ones had a steel plate fitted to the hub then the spokes. I've only got the 199B in at the moment but i can measure that for you if you want?

    Just measured them. 18 @ 200mm and 18 @ 175mm. measurements are approx cos i had to measure in the wheel as i dont have any out of the wheels at the moment. hope that helps?

    Sorry i didnt measure the front i thought you wanted the rear ones. Yes the front will be two different lengths but i am busy laying out our trial for Sunday tomorrow but i will measure for you and post on Monday if thats ok?

    Sorry been so long getting back. Workload issues. Anyway front wheel on a 199 mine measure 18 @ 230mm and 18 @ 240mm again measured with the wheel complete as i havent got any loose spokes around. Hope that sorts you out?
