Ossa Top Tip - Steering Head Greasing

Featured Replies

Some of you may or may not know this already, but for those of you that don't...rememebr to keep your steering head bearings fully greased.

A quick and eay way to do this without having to take the headstock apart is to simply remove the front number place and then remove the two bolts holding the EFI capacitor in place, replace the bottom bolt finger tight to block the hole, then place a grease nipple in the top hole, attach your grease gun and pump the head full of grease. You can check to see how full it is by removing the bottom bolt at first and waiting until the grease pumps out, then replace he bolt and pump some more in.

Very easy and certainly saves taking the steering apart.
