my bike is long overdue new chain and sprockets,can anyone tell me which are the best ones to use and how many teeth either end do you recommend? thanks in advance for your help

I ordered some in from my local bike shop (road bike) which I dont normally do...but I figured he'd appriciate, and is probably more in need of my business then Sandifords.

Anyway, I brought a renthal sprocket set, 42T on the rear, and 10T on the front, not exactly sure on the cost of the sprockets alone, but im guessing about

As for recommending the ammount of teeth...all of my previous sets have been 10/40, but I went for 10/42 this time as I didn't have a choice.

The amount of teeth will vary from rider to rider, but Im guessing 10/40 is pretty standard. It was factory standard on the Montesa anyway.

The amount of teeth will not really effect you depending on your experience and...well, riding class.

I recommend a standard 10/40 personally.
