    I seem to recall I did once see a 250 BMW converted for trials - interesting, given the shaft drive. I can't remember where though, can anyone confirm its existence?

    There was a BMW in the 2011 Pre65 Scottish, Rider No. 105. I remember I took this photo on Day 2 at Pipeline and there is also a shot of the LHS in the paddock.

    The BMW used a pinion from an outfit to lower the gearing, still 1st for everything. Also had a base gasket that was about 10mm thick !
