hi all, has anyone any ideas on replacing the standard villiers clutch on my pre65 scramble bike,[i know not trials] .i would like to replace it with a jap one,ie conbination of the two, that will still fit inside standard castings. any views greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your interest Hewson, the problem with the original clutch is that i removed the case hardening from the basket and now the plates are creating quite deep grooves, which makes the clutch drag.

Just give simon Bateman a call at Nametab. Great bloke and his clutch baskets never give a problem and believe me they are very hard. Tried drilling one once gave up!

Problem now resolved, i took old trials fanatic's advice and bought one from nametab.Lovely looking thing it is.Thanks for imput every one.
