hi all ive had problems stating the 199A ive just restored. its got a new bing carb wich as all the corect jets in it the float is level with the face off the carb. i read a thread with the same problem they was told to put the bike on its side so i tryed it and it dose work. but there must be a better way to sort this out once its started its sound starts no problem. theres a brand new airfilter in its been in quit a while but the bike hasnt been used since rebuild only been run round the garden could that be the problem?

Hello Bondy. First I would clean and reoil the airfilter just to make sure. Then I would check the choke is working, I can remember some Bings the choke plunger would unscrew or come unstuck and would not lift up when you put the choke on. Graham.

hello Graham cheers im gonner get some fuel today and try it. i will check the chock but i know when i get it started the chock dose work as it idels faster.and then when i takr it off it dies down to normal idel. so ill check the filter first cheers bondy.
