February 8, 201313 yr Hello , I was wondering if the DMW frame with fuel in top tube would be pre 65 eligible.Or Would it be in the special class,even If it had a cub or C15 motor in it thanks John.
February 8, 201313 yr Most clubs including the Yorkshire Classic allow british bikes made up to and including 1970 so it depends what year it is. Edinburgh need frames of pre65 design for the Pre65 Scottish. Good luck - they showed some lateral thinking at the time.
February 8, 201313 yr Author Thanks for that ,I suppose they are better kept standard,being used as a later twin shock ,I think I shall lookout for a Seeley or Miller type frame and put a Villiers into the DMW. Thanks again John
February 9, 201313 yr Hi if you want a bike thats british and different to all the other european makes keep this bike standard.I think that there was around a dozen of these made.Also the villiers based engine in these is good,if it still as the DMW barrel and cylinder head its definatly worth it.The barrel as extra ports giving it more torque .
February 11, 201313 yr The fuel in frame bike in the 2012 Scottish 2 day was I believe a Scorpion not a DMW. The Scorpion was P65, the DMW came towards the end of the british bike period.
